”Each Year the Monroe County Convention & Tourism Bureau hosts the Annual River Raisin Jazz Festival in St. Mary’s Park on the banks of the Historic River Raisin in Downtown Monroe, brought to you by the City of Monroe, La-Z-Boy Incorporated, Monroe Bank & Trust, DTE Energy, Daimler Chrysler, The Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and many more! The festival has featured artists like Grammy Award Winner Chuck Mangione, Jazz legends Spyro Gyra, the #1 Smooth Jazz Artist in the Country Peter White world renowned flutist Alexander Zonjic and more! This year, the “Second Stage” was introduced to expand the festival into the Downtown and in cooperation with the Downtown Monroe Business Network, the Downtown Fine Art Fair was added and should be an exciting addition to the Festival for years to come.
